Lyceum of the Philippines University staged a remarkable comeback against San Sebastian College-Recoletos, culminating in a thrilling fifth set, with scores of 17-25, 22-25, 25-22, 23-21 in the 2023 V-League Collegiate Challenge, held on Friday at the Paco Arena.

The Lady Pirates, who concluded the tournament with a 2-5 record, relied on Johna Dolorito's intelligent hitting to gain an advantage over the Lady Stags, while ZJ Deposoy made a crucial contribution during the decisive moments.

"Ang aming mga expectations para sa V-League ay hindi gaanong mataas. Ngunit nagpapasalamat kami na nakilala namin ang kanilang kakayahan, lalo na sa laro na ito na nakita namin sa fifth set na kaya nilang magtuloy-tuloy," pahayag ni head coach Cromwell Garcia.

Lyceum spoiled Kat Santos' best performance of the season, as she scored 24 points through 20 successful attacks, leaving the Lady Stags winless at 0-6.
