The intense match took place on Sunday at the Paco Arena.
Trailing by a 9-13 margin, the Tamaraws rallied behind the offensive prowess of Dryx Saavedra, who orchestrated a massive 8-2 surge to seal the victory. Saavedra emerged as the star of the match, concluding with a total of 25 points, all of which were earned through spikes.
Head coach Ed Orcullo, who recently took charge of the team, reflected on the game's dynamics, stating, "Yung nangyari sa game is make or break din kasi balikatan yung laban. Sa mga ganyan din, test of character din ng players kung paano mag-handle nang pressured ka."

On the opposing side, De La Salle's Noel Kampton led with 20 points, achieved through 18 kills and two aces.
