Dapol flaunts MVP form as Perpetual trumps Enderun in 4

Mary Rhose Dapol showcased her MVP form and led the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA to a four-set victory over Enderun Colleges: 25-27, 25-14, 25-22, 25-19, in the 2023 V-League Collegiate Challenge, which took place on Wednesday at the Paco Arena in Manila.

The reigning top athlete of NCAA overwhelmed the Lady Titans' defense with 26 points, propelling the Lady Altas to three wins, matching the 3-0 record of the College of Saint Benilde, while enduring two defeats.

As the competition for the last two spots in the semifinals remains wide open, Perpetual head coach Sandy Rieta knows that they must continue to work hard. She stated, "We will study our next game first. We will analyze the strategy to secure a victory."

Dapol finished with 22 kills and four service aces, most of which came at critical moments to secure the three sets they won and when Enderun threatened to pull ahead. Team captain Razel Aldea contributed 13 points with 11 attacks and two blocks.

Erika Jin Deloria led the Lady Titans with a similar 20-point performance, while Althea Botor added 14. However, the squad couldn't secure a second win and instead slipped to a 1-3 record.
