Adamson University completed the semifinals cast after making quick work of University of Sto. Tomas, 25-15, 25-15, 25-22 in the quarterfinals of the 2022 V-League Women’s Collegiate Challenge, Wednesday night at the Paco Arena.
Team captain Louie Romero set the tone for the Lady Falcons, unleashing 19 excellent sets to go along with two points.
Trisha Tubu led the scoring with 12 points on 10 attacks and two aces while the pair of Kate Santiago and Lucille Almonte added 11 and nine markers, respectively, in the victory.
“Mas okay ngayon. Mas fluid yung galaw, credit lalo na sa setter namin kay (Louie) Romero kasi mas napapadali yung trabaho ng coaches kapag may ganyan kang player, yung offense siya talaga nagdadala e so dumadali lalo, mas nakakafocus kami sa ibang bagay,” said Adamson assistant coach Rald Ricafort.
The victory pits the Lady Falcons against College of St. Benilde, which also has Jerry Yee as its head coach. The veteran tactician already confirmed that he will let his assistant coaches call the shots in the semifinals.
Camille Victoria and Imee Hernandez top-scored for UST with 10 points apiece.
